Hey guys, I'm Pedro Luz also known as roi_MM @pokerstars tables.
My first experience with poker was back in 2009 when I was playing freerolls as an under-age and in an incredible day of luck got 5th on the 5.50 20k turbo. I eventually lost all that money cause I was a real bad playeeer. 4 months later, I decided to play the 8.80 turbo 16k and got 7th there, I was almost underolled so yea the 800U$ were pretty sweet. On Sunday of the same week, I decided to play the 5.50 2R1A 30K. Well I ran good there, got 3rd and yea ship the 3.5k. Funny fact is that the guy that took second place on that event is now my backer :). Then I decided to play really expensive (sunday million, 22+R and stuff), and obv I did not had a game to beat that shit, so I went broke...
On that time I was watching the Saturday Splash FT, and there was a guy really pwning everyone, his screen-name was jkru005. On the next day he was playing the 1.50U$ 45p with me, so I recognized him and asked for his skype. We became really good friends and he agreed to back me in 2.50 180p (this was september 2011). He sent me 250U$ to start and I never looked back, his aggressive approach really helped my game. Basically, he taught me how to play poker. Then I met GazBarker that's good friends with jkru, and this guy gave me some fundamental tips. When our deal was over, I was a winning turbo player beating 2.50 180p.
But I did knew the concept of variance and althought I really felt I could beat this game, I wanted to be backed again because I did not had a great roll and things were bad @game to me. Then I talked to a really good brazilian friend called Gansao. He was backed by igorcampanha, which I consider to be one of the best turbo players of the world. Then he talked to igor and the guy agreed to back me. This happened January 2012 and we're still on the deal. I started mixing up 2.50s with 8s and few weeks later only 3+R and 8s.
I really feel that I'm one of the best 180p players in the world, basically because I moved stakes real fast and I'm always keen to learn. I was pretty luck to know guys like jkru and igor, who gave me such valuable information. I'm pretty good things are gonna happen in the future.
Pedro.
